Dogecoin: The Ultimate Market Opener
When were you introduced to the stock market for the 1st time?
I was 13, we had Aol dial-up, and my dad would live on the Yahoo Stocks site.
I was such a curious kid and would ask what he was always looking at and he would love to talk about it all.
“This is stock for a company creating wearable devices for doctors. I own 1000 shares of it which means I own a little bit of the company. When they do well, we make money.”
I’ve remained curious for these last 22 years.
The incredible rise in price of Dogecoin is being talked about endlessly, not by your parents, but by your friends. This is amazing for people at large!
Dogecoin is an investment that younger investors find entertaining, cute, and fun and this is a very good thing.
I continue to hear the phrases, “not a real investment”, “just gambling”, and “speculative” and this is saddening.
What I don’t hear is the word “educational” ever.
These stocks like Gamestop and AMC as well as cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Dogecoin have helped bring a new generation into the market.
Robinhood has helped make investing accessible, talked about, and enjoyable.
The world continues to underestimate the future generation and their decisions. Dogecoin hype is yet another example of this.
You market is made up of decisions. Emotion is a major fuel source and always has been. Fundamentals are not the only way to value things.
It’s making people curious, excited, and open to a new idea of what they can do with their hard earned cash beyond spending it.
There are a lot of younger adults finding riches in investments they believe in.
Many people believe in Dogecoin. I’m 1 of them.
The fact that it was made as a joke makes the currency feel pure. It doesn’t feel like rich suited men behind a curtain are pulling levers and stealing our money without us knowing it.
The richest man in the world isn’t just tweeting the price up. You see a joke meme, I see a conviction and an understanding of why Dogecoin can be the best cryptocurrency available.
Dogecoin feels like the currency of the internet and as we continue to dive deeper and deeper into the Internet and enjoy it more and more, Dogecoin stands out as the tool I would like to purchase digital products with.
I end this with a call to action. Find interest in the investing markets anyway that you can. It’s a ton of fun to move your earned money around in an attempt to make it make money for you.
Call it a game, call it gambling, investing, HODL’ing, or mooning… it doesn’t matter. You are in control of your money and the decisions you do with it and if you wanna YOLO your way into the next investment because you like what it stands for, or the fun that surrounds it, that’s your decision.
I enjoy what the Dogecoins, Robinhood, Gamestops, and AMC’s are doing to the people of the world. They are offering a friendly way to enter the world of investing, and as a whole, I am grateful.
and yes, I own a bunch of Doge, am holding it to the moon, and whether we reach the clouds, the moon, or Mars, I’m going to enjoy the ride all the same.
